Thursday, December 12, the first annualShop N Stroll eventwill take place as the Town of Fairfield and The Chamber of Commerce collaborate in an effort to support local businesses. Participating shops in town will stay open late and will offer seasonal refreshments, carolers and musicians from local schools and other organizations. Many restaurants will offer dinner and drinks specials.
On Saturday, December 14 the Fairfield University Bookstore will host a Holiday Open House from 12 — 4pm which will feature a special author meet & greet, live holiday music, a gingerbread house workshop (prepay and register at Sweet Rexies 203-254-3254), holiday gift wrapping and story times. Meet five renowned children’s picture book authors whose books will be available for purchase and personalization for every one on your Christmas list. Santa Claus will join the fun in a special visit from 2 – 4pm, posing for pictures and handing out special bookstore treats. Special author visits will continue through Sunday.
Enjoy the Bellarmine Museum of Art Family Day from 1 — 4pm, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield University. With a child friendly museum tour, crafts activities and story time in the museum galleries, this event is perfect for youngsters.
Gather your friends and family for a Holiday breakfast (bagels, donuts, coffee, juice, hot chocolate and more) with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Enjoy listening to the local school choirs at the Fairfield Ludlowe Middle School Cafeteria at 10 am, sponsored by the Parks & Recreation Department, the Police Athletic League and the Town youth Council. A $1 donation is requested.
The 28th Annual "A Visit to Santa’s House" will be held in the Burr Homestead, 739 Old Post Road, on Saturday December 14 from 10 – 4 and Sunday December 15 from 10 – 2pm. Enjoy making a special holiday craft to take home, stop into Santa’s Salon for face & nail painting, temporary tattoos, a cookie with Mrs. Claus, view the model train display and get a photo with Santa. $7 at the door.

Busy parents can get some time off while Ms. Karen and Ms. Annie of Great Beginnings Montessori School lead the way with creative interactive activities, a pizza dinner and a movie. Ages 4-7, preregistration required.

Candlelight at the Ogden House, 1520 Bronson Road, Friday December 13 from 5 — 7:30pm. Enjoy an evening of docent-led tours and holiday refreshments at the home built in 1750. Bring family and friends to celebrate the season and to glimpse life from times past. $5 donation suggested.
PopShop Marketwill be hosting a special winter wonderland indoor/ outdoor event: shopping, foods, cocktails, get your photo with Santa in the photo booth, and much more in the Brick Walk Promenade, 1215 Post Road Sunday December 15 from 11-4pm. Snow or shine!
