It’s the most wonderful time of the year, a magical enchanting time of the year, especially for children. Kick off the exciting anticipation by writing a letter to the big man himself, Santa Claus! Kids — let Santa know you’ve been nice, not naughty!

Write a letter to the Jolly Old Soul, address it to: Santa Claus at The North Pole and drop it into his special mailbox for speedy delivery. The Elves are waiting to make your toys! Polar Express Delivery to the North Pole leaves from:

  • The Fairfield Recreation Department, 75 Mill Plain Road, will have Santa’s Mailbox available to Fairfield residents only from December 2 – December 16. They will respond with a letter from Santa in your mailbox.
  • First Annual Letters to Santa Day at Giant Steps Toy and Baby, 226 Kings Highway East, will be held Wednesday, December 11th from 2 – 5 pm. It is free! So stop by in the afternoon to write/illustrate a letter to Santa using their special ‘crafty’ letters. Once the letter is complete you can either take it home to mail to the North Pole or Giant Steps will deliver your letter to Macy’s to make a $1 donation to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Snacks will be served.
  • The U.S. Post Office, 357 Commerce Drive, accepts letters to Santa and has a special Elf working this month who “tries to respond to all of them.”

Prefer the reverse? Send your child an official package from Santa: This package includes Santa’s Nice List which features your child’s name, a personalized letter from Santa which is Postmarked from the North Pole and is on official Santa Claus stationery, and a Nice List Certificate. Complete the delight for your child with a ‘Good Boys & Girls Certificate’ embossed with a golden Santa Seal and new this year. Plus, you can order Santa’s Map, which gives Santa and his Reindeer directions to your house from the North Pole. The first package costs $19.95, each additional cost $14.95 and shipping/handling is free of cost. Be sure to order early to ensure delivery by Christmas. Reindeer Food is also available for purchase.

Tip: Be sure to include your return address on each!
